- The camera captures video in sharp 2K⁺ (2560 × 1440) resolution using a 4-megapixel sensor.
- It has a large 10,400 mAh rechargeable battery, which can last for up to 210 days on a single charge under normal usage conditions. It can also be connected to a compatible EZVIZ solar panel (sold separately) for continuous charging.
- The motorized design offers 360° panoramic coverage with a 340° horizontal pan and 65° vertical tilt.
- It uses a PIR sensor and an AI-powered person-shape detection algorithm to focus on human movement and can auto-track detected individuals.
- The camera offers three night vision modes, including standard black-and-white infrared night vision (up to 15m) and vivid color night vision using built-in spotlights.
- It includes 32 GB of built-in eMMC storage for recordings, with no required subscription fees for local storage. It also supports an optional cloud storage subscription service called EZVIZ CloudPlay.
- The HB8 features two-way talk, allowing communication via the EZVIZ app. It also has an “active defense” function that triggers a loud siren and flashing spotlights upon detecting an intruder.
